The Central Ohio training center is primarily located at Metro Early College High School and is a partnership including the Education Service Center of Central Ohio, The Ohio State University, Reynoldsburg City Schools and Columbus City Schools. Reynoldsburg City Schools’ eSTEM Academy serves as an extension of the Central Ohio training center, providing hands-on approaches to in-district K-12 STEM strategies implementation.
The Central Ohio training center works to facilitate partnerships that amplify and accelerate the work of existing STEM programs to other schools and districts within Central Ohio. All programming developed and shared among STEM partners in the hub is open to participation from any school, district, private sector partnership and non-profit partnership in the region.
As an OSLN regional training center, the Metro Early College High School and Reynoldsburg eSTEM Academy sites have identified specific areas of expertise on which they will offer training and consultation.
“The information shared, the schools visited and the dialogue were so powerful and provided us with so much information. We are still talking about it, and all of our colleagues now want to attend.”
– Mary E. Proffitt, University of KY
“Our visit to Metro inspired us and convinced us that we have a lot to learn from you all.”
