The book PBL in the Math Classroom explains how to keep inquiry at the heart of mathematics teaching and helps teachers build students’ abilities to be true mathematicians. The book describes how PBL and inquiry work together in a math classroom and includes structures, processes and strategies for creating those experiences in your own classroom. The book also includes sample projects to implement or to inspire you to create your own. This book study is facilitated by a Dayton Regional STEM School math teacher using PBL in her classroom and by a Dayton Regional STEM School PBL coach. This 15-hour online book study is self-paced for users to complete the registered course. The study will last from January 13th – February 21st. Participants must purchase their own copy of the book, PBL in the Math Classroom.
