Mathematics in the PBL classroom can be tricky. PBL in the Math Classroom describes how PBL and inquiry work together in a math classroom and includes structures, processes and strategies for creating those experiences in your own classroom. The book also includes sample projects to implement or to inspire you to create your own. This 15-hour online book study–facilitated by an experienced PBL math teacher; PBL coach, and a Gifted Intervention Specialist–is self-paced for users to complete at their convenience during the four-week time period. Participants must purchase their own copy of PBL in the Math Classroom and will need a personal Gmail account–ending in @gmail.com–to participate.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a certificate that states they met the Ohio Gifted HQPD 15 clock hour requirement. Participants are also eligible for a one-hour Ashland University graduate credit option.
