Waterville Primary School is a STEAM rich building that provides students in kindergarten through fourth grade with curriculum and experiences that are relevant to our local ecosystem and grounded in Project Based Learning. All students participate in advanced learning opportunities, experimental and inventive problem solving, and collaboration while using an inquiry based approach. Our strong partnerships with the Toledo Zoo Conservation and Education Department, The Toledo Museum of Art, Lucas County Metroparks, Excite Learning, Bowling Green State University, and other local industry allow us to meet the academic demands and affective needs of our students by building rigorous content knowledge and also perseverance as our students apply the iterative stages of investigation. Our entire community, district, and Waterville educators support and contribute to the work being done that enhances student accessibility to STEAM professions as we align teaching and learning to ensure Ohio students develop the intellectual, technical, and entrepreneurial talent necessary for future happiness within the 21st Century economy.
