Ranger High-Tech Academy (RHTA) provides an enhanced curriculum focusing on science, technology, engineering and math for students entering grades 2-11. The transdisciplinary, applied learning curriculum is designed collaboratively with business and community partners in order to engage and excel our learners with authentic problems, authentic processes and authentic products. Students work collaboratively on project-based learning units within the school building and at our partner locations, which creates context for learning and introduces students to a wide variety of STEM careers. Students in grades 9-11 have 4 main components that are the foundation of learning. These components are; Project Based Curriculum, Rigorous Coursework (including College Credit Classes), Business Partnerships (including Internships), and Advisory classes. These grade levels are housed at Lorain County Community College in order to facilitate increased opportunities for students to attend college credit classes.
