We are honored to announce the winners of this year’s State Showcase for the #STEMbuildsOhio Design Challenge.
Students worked hard to solve this problem: How can you improve your school, community, or world by reimagining an existing physical space, system, product, or service so that it is more equitable, accessible, or efficient? Students then presented their solution at our showcase, after winning admission to the statewide event at school-level competitions.
Through the challenge, students build skills in thinking, analyzing, ideating, and creating solutions to real-world problems. In total, 59 schools across Ohio participated in the competition reaching 6,000 students.
The Ohio STEM Learning Network hosts a statewide design challenge each year. Any school may participate. To get your school involved, sign-up for emails from the network here.
