Hughes STEM High School located in the uptown Clifton community offers a new bold approach to education featuring a creative focus in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) with a strong liberal arts foundation. At Hughes the instructional program engages students in rich interdisciplinary content, rigorous project based curricula, application of technology and literacy across all disciplines, and Social Emotional Learning throughout grades 7-12. Beginning junior year students are immersed in one of four pathway programs Engineering Futures, Informational Technology, Health Sciences, or Animal and Plant Sciences (Zoo academy). Our mission is to support, challenge and empower all students to become college and career ready, engaged citizens and life-long learners.
