About the School

The Dayton Regional STEM Schools is a public, independent STEM district serving students in grades K–12 from across the Dayton region. Our mission is simple but powerful: to prepare and inspire the next generation of leaders and innovators. At STEM, learning comes alive through hands-on, project-based experiences where students solve authentic problems, explore industry-grade technology, and connect with real-world professionals.

All students are exposed from an early age to three STEM Career Pathways inspired by the region’s critical workforce needs – Healthcare, Engineering, and Computer Science. These pathways give students opportunities to dive deep into high-demand fields while building the professional competencies needed for success. With the support of our community, we are preparing students to thrive in college, careers, and the workforce needs of our region and beyond. As we proudly say: the real world starts here.

We believe that a strong school culture is critical to our success. Our school culture is exemplified in our mascot, ACE the Innovator. ACE’s name stands for “”Accepting Culture for Everyone.”” At STEM, there is an expectation for everyone in our community to help contribute to a safe, positive, and welcoming learning environment. ACE represents the qualities we cultivate in every student: communication, inquiry, creativity, persistence, and collaboration. Our students take great pride in holding themselves and each other accountable for fostering our ACE Culture.

About the Tour

Visitors will learn about the mission, history, and highlights of the Dayton Regional STEM Schools with school leaders. Our student ambassadors will lead a campus tour and share their student perspective. Attendees will then participate in an interactive panel discussion with administrators and teachers, tailored to visitor interests. Featured topics will include career exploration in the classroom, authentic PBL, community partnerships, STEM career pathways, and work-based learning.

Intended Audience: school educators, community partners, etc. – all are welcome!
