Recognizing Leaders for STEM in Ohio Schools and Communities

Each year, the Ohio STEM Learning Network (OSLN) recognizes leaders in providing experiences that inspire and educate the next generation of Ohio innovators through the OSLN Excellence Awards. 

OSLN accepts nominations for awards issued in three categories: teaching, leadership and partnerships. OSLN also selects an educator each year for the network’s Outstanding Service Award.

The 2025 award winners will be recognized at the Ohio STEM Innovation Summit on June 3, 2025. Along with being recognized at the Ohio STEM Summit, the winners will be invited to a celebration dinner on June 2, 2025 and to apply to present at the 2026 statewide summit.

In the spirit of gratitude, the person submitting the nomination for each winner will also be invited to the celebratory dinner.

Award categories

Excellence in STEM Teaching Award

The Excellence in STEM Teaching Award recognizes a teacher who exemplifies integrated, STEM-infused teaching strategies and classroom innovation, and whose work has led to positive student learning outcomes.

Excellence in STEM Leadership Award

The Excellence in STEM Leadership Award recognizes a school-level, district, or regional leader with a proven track-record of developing effective STEM programs.

Excellence in STEM Partnership Award

The Excellence in STEM Partnership Award recognizes an established partnership that prioritizes a commitment to STEM education. Partners may include industry, higher education, community partner, or a partnership within the arts.

Outstanding Service Award

The Outstanding Service Award recognizes an individual advancing high-quality STEM education for all students across Ohio.

This award is selected by OSLN leadership and staff.
