An immersive professional learning experience for Ohio's Career-Technical educators
The CTE+STEM Innovation Lab is a high-impact, immersive professional learning experience designed to strengthen STEM pedagogy within Career-Technical Education (CTE) programs across Ohio.
Developed in partnership with the Office of Graduate Success and the Career-Technical Education Office at the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce, this three-day summer workshop responds directly to statewide needs for pedagogy-focused, classroom-ready professional learning for CTE educators.
Rather than changing what teachers teach, this program focuses on how students experience learning through inquiry, problem-solving, collaboration, and authentic, career-connected STEM experiences.
This workshop will be hosted at Ohio ACTE in Columbus, Ohio from August 11–13, 2026. Apply soon, seats are very limited.
What participants will experience
Through hands-on, workshop-style learning, participants will engage deeply in:
- Establishing and sustaining a strong STEM culture grounded in innovation, inquiry, collaboration with individual accountability, and an entrepreneurial mindset
- Applying design thinking as an instructional and problem-solving approach within CTE classrooms
- Designing and implementing authentic, career-connected learning experiences aligned to STEM careers and workforce demands
- Creating personalized learning opportunities aligned to Ohio’s CTE programs, pathways, and student interests
By the end of the program, educators will be equipped to create richer, more engaging, and more relevant STEM-connected learning environments that prepare students for high-value career pathways.
