Feed the World: Focus on Energy and Ethanol workshop

Want to learn more about renewable fuel? Take part in our renewable energy workshop at Global Impact STEM Academy.
Participants will explore how the Ag industry is creating quality feed and fuel while helping the environment.
These lessons address Ohio Science Standards in 7th and 8th-grade science, Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Science.
- How is ethanol creating quality feed and fuel for Ohio and around the world?
- Why is renewable ethanol important to our lives and the future?
- How can an ethanol coproduct, corn oil, be used to produce renewable fuel?
- How can agricultural careers impact our students’ pathways?
Network with industry and fellow educators, practice a variety of labs focused on renewable fuels, and connect agriculture to your classroom.
Each participant will receive kit materials to perform the corn fermentation, corn mash, and distillation labs in the classroom!
