Self Organized Learning Environments

Sustaining inquiry outside of PBLs is a problem of practice for many schools.

Finding ways to keep inquiry alive in the classroom can be tough. In our virtual time together we will explore Self Organized Learning Environments (@StartSole), an easy to implement strategy that can be done in a single class period, K-12.

@StartSole was derived from the work of educational researcher Sugata Mitra, who won a million dollar TED prize for his talk about the Hole In The Wall Project.

Your presenter is Sam Crews, Director of the Akron Hub of the Ohio STEM Learning Network. Sam is a veteran educator and a founding faculty member of the National Inventors Hall of Fame STEM School and experienced trainer in Inquiry Based Learning strategies.
