STEM Innovation Roadmap

Your Roadmap to STEM Transformation

The STEM Innovation Roadmap is more than a guide. It’s a framework for transforming your school into a dynamic, student-centered STEM or STEAM learning community.

Grounded in Ohio’s STEM and STEAM Designation Rubric and the Quality Model for STEM and STEAM Education, the roadmap helps leadership teams assess their current reality, build the systems that support innovation, and create meaningful learning experiences that prepare students for success in school, careers, and life.

Designed for school leaders, educators, and partners, the roadmap provides practical tools, reflection activities, implementation strategies, and action planning resources to help schools move from isolated STEM activities to a sustainable culture of STEM learning.

Whether your school is just beginning its STEM journey or preparing for designation, the roadmap offers a clear and flexible pathway for continuous improvement.

Submission form opens.

After Submission
An OSLN representative reviews your materials.

Virtual Review Meeting
Your team meets with OSLN to discuss:

  • Feedback
  • Strengths
  • Opportunities for growth
  • Recommended next steps

Please note: The informal review is designed as a support and readiness-building opportunity. It does not replace any component of the formal STEM or STEAM designation process and does not constitute an official designation review.

Schools interested in earning STEM or STEAM designation must still complete all required components of the official designation process, including application submission, artifact review, benchmark requirements, and site visit participation, as applicable.

Ongoing support

Throughout your journey, OSLN serves as a thought partner and resource, supporting schools as they design, implement, and refine their STEM education systems.

Whether your school is just beginning or preparing for designation, the STEM Innovation Roadmap and associated supports are designed to help your team build systems that are coherent, sustainable, and impactful for all students.
