Anna joins the team by a seemingly non-traditional route. Anna started working at Battelle in 2017 as a contractor, serving in the café as the Catering Manager. Through her time in that position, she demonstrated a dedication to service and a passion for people. She also sharpened her skills in event management, managing daily catering, large events, and fine dining, all from the café at Battelle’s headquarters in Columbus. Before entering the food industry, Anna was an eighth grade Writing and Freshman English teacher. She never thought her two careers would ever align, so joining the STEM team as a project specialist at Battelle is truly a dream come true. Having the opportunity to serve teachers through organizing meaningful events and supporting STEM development across Ohio is the perfect marriage of her two careers. She is proof that education and experience is never wasted, and dedication and faithfulness in small things can open doors you never expected.

Anna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Childhood Education with an emphasis in Language Arts and Science from Cedarville University. She also holds an Associates degree in Culinary Arts from The Arts Institute of Ohio-Cincinnati. Growing up and teaching in Southeastern Ohio, she knows the power of education and the impact that one teacher can make on a lifetime of a student.

In her spare time, you can find Anna in a coffee shop appreciating latte art (something she could NEVER master), out walking to get her dedicated 10,000 steps a day, or you can still find her in the kitchen, cooking and baking for friends and family.
