Amy DeGoricia, M.Ed. is a STEM Project Specialist with the Ohio STEM Learning Network at Battelle. With 20 years of experience in education, Amy brings extensive expertise in curriculum development, educational leadership, and STEM programming to the team. Before joining Battelle in June 2024, she served as Science Curriculum Manager at IDEA Public Schools, where she led the development of science curriculum and professional learning initiatives. Her career also includes roles as Science Curriculum Specialist at National Heritage Academies and Subject Matter Expert/Curriculum Writer at Lincoln Learning Solutions, where she created engaging, standards-aligned educational content.

Amy began her educational career as a middle school science teacher in North Carolina before returning to Ohio, where she taught at Bloom Carroll and later at the Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow (ECOT). At ECOT, she served as Science Department Chair, developing her expertise in online and blended learning approaches. Her experience spans K–12 education, with particular strengths in program development, teacher training, and designing innovative learning experiences that engage students in STEM. In her current role, she supports statewide STEM initiatives, collaborates with educators and partners, and helps expand access to high-quality STEM learning opportunities across Ohio.

Amy holds a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Bowling Green State University and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). She is a lifelong learner who is continually seeking opportunities to grow professionally and stay at the forefront of STEM education. Her combination of classroom experience, curriculum expertise, and leadership allows her to support Ohio’s educators and develop impactful programming that prepares students for future success.
