About Amy

Amy DeGoricia, M.Ed. is a STEM Project Specialist with the Ohio STEM Learning Network at Battelle. With 20 years of experience in education, Amy brings extensive expertise in curriculum development, educational leadership, and STEM programming to the team. Before joining Battelle in June 2024, she served as Science Curriculum Manager at IDEA Public Schools, where she led the development of science curriculum and professional learning initiatives. Her career also includes roles as Science Curriculum Specialist at National Heritage Academies and Subject Matter Expert/Curriculum Writer at Lincoln Learning Solutions, where she created engaging, standards-aligned educational content.

Amy began her educational career as a middle school science teacher in North Carolina before returning to Ohio, where she taught at Bloom Carroll and later at the Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow (ECOT). At ECOT, she served as Science Department Chair, developing her expertise in online and blended learning approaches. Her expertise spans K-12 education with particular strength in program development, teacher training, and creating innovative learning experiences that engage students in STEM concepts.

She holds a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Bowling Green State University and is currently working toward a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. Amy’s combination of classroom experience, curriculum expertise, and leadership skills allows her to support Ohio’s STEM educators and develop programming that expands quality STEM learning opportunities for students across the state.
