OSLN Central OH Hub: Regional Design Challenge Kickoff Event

The PAST Foundation invites area educators and administrators to attend a professional learning session with the Central OH STEM Action Center, a hub of the Ohio STEM Learning Network (OSLN). Please register for the event by completing and submitting the form below.

Design Challenge Kick Off Event Information:

WHEN: Wednesday, September 16; 9:00AM-3:00PM (Light Breakfast and Lunch included)
WHERE: The PAST Innovation Lab, 1003 Kinnear Road, Columbus, OH 43212

WHAT: Each year, the Ohio STEM Learning Network hosts a statewide design challenge where students K-12 can collaborate to create a workable solution to key issues facing our world. Any school in Ohio can participate in the challenge. The design challenge is a great starting point to begin implementing high-quality STEM education best practices in a classroom.

This event will assist educators and administrators on how to implement the Design Challenge in their classroom.

Participants will…

1. Gain knowledge of the design thinking process
2. Explore components of this year’s design challenge
3. Develop plan for student engagement in this year’s design challenge
4. Leave with activities to take directly back to classroom
