SUMMARY:3D Printers Showcase
DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate the learnings and successes of Greater Cincinnati STEM Collaborative (GCSC) 3d Printers Club students! Students will display their projects and how they utilized the engineering and design process. Community members will be in attendance showcasing STEM careers\, opportunities and ties to 3D printing! Lunch will be included for students and guests. \nWhat is 3d Printers Club?\n3d Printers Clubs engage middle school-aged students to build their engineering/design/making skills\, confidence\, and interest in additional STEM learning and future STEM careers. For 10 weeks\, students design and produce solutions to real world problems using 3D printers. \nWhat is 3d Printers Showcase?\nA day to celebrate all our 3d Printers Club students have learned and accomplished! Almost like a science fair\, clubs will bring display boards of student projects and learning. Students will be encouraged to visit each other’s booths and special guest visitors will visit the booths as well! \nWhat Does an Exhibitor Do?\nExhibitor’s show students what comes next! An exhibitor will occupy a booth on the perimeter of the room and provide students information on how they utilize 3D printing in their jobs\, how their careers are connected to STEM\, or other opportunities their organization has for students interested in STEM. Students are given a “scavenger hunt” of facts about exhibitors to encourage them to visit your booths and spark up a conversation. We would love for these booths to be engaging or hands-on in order to maximize the impact of your organization! Feel free to bring handouts and flyers! \nWho Has Been an Exhibitor in the Past?\nPast exhibitors have included- P&G\, GE Aviation\, Polar 3D\, and UC DAAP showing how they use 3D printers and the engineering and design process; Cincinnati Museum Center\, NKU CINSAM\, The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County showing STEM opportunities for students; University of Cincinnati\, Cincinnati State\, and NKU showing STEM careers!
