SUMMARY:Showcase of Marysville STEM Early College High School (Central Ohio)
DESCRIPTION:About the School \nMarysville STEM Early College High School\, located in Marysville\, Ohio\, is a suburban public school serving students in grades 9 through 12. Marysville STEM Early College High School believes that STEM is a pedagogy and mindset as much as it is a content descriptor. \nAt MSECHS\, students connect with local businesses and community organizations to plan\, develop\, and test new ideas. Marysville STEM has reimagined the high school experience by creating a Learner-Centered Ecosystem that bridges the gap between education and industry. MSECHS partners with local STEM employers to create authentic learning experiences that prepare students for the real world. The approach involves creating Learning Hubs focused on different STEM pathways and connecting these with Field Sites at local businesses. The school itself features flexible\, reconfigurable spaces\, natural daylight\, glass walls for transparency\, and state-of-the-art technology. This innovative environment fosters adaptability in teaching and learning\, promoting connectivity between students\, educators\, and the community. The school also serves as a resource for the broader community. \nAbout the Tour \nParticipants will explore the school’s specialized pathways in engineering\, health sciences\, and information technology\, all within a mastery-based\, design-focused learning environment. The visit will highlight how instruction is tailored to each student’s needs while providing chances to earn industry-recognized credentials and college credit\, participate in work-based learning experiences in STEM related industries\, and discover their own strengths and future direction. We will also highlight the interconnect between the Early College and STEM designation. \nDuring the visit\, participants will tour the building\, engage in conversations with students\, and reflect with teachers and school leaders. They will see how flexible learning spaces\, empowered educators\, authentic problem-solving\, and high levels of student engagement come together to create an exceptional educational experience. \nIntended Audience: School Educators\, Administrators\, Industry partners\, Local and State officials \nCapacity: 30 \nRegistration Link: https://airtable.com/appunA9mR2qMGaGYi/pagxS1Ps8isXP5M3w/form
