As the only primary STEM school in the Tristate, William H. Taft Elementary School is the starting point for students’ mastery of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)-fields that drive innovation and competition in the global marketplace.
Taft serves students from preschool through grade 6 and prides itself on being a neighborhood magnet school serving Mt. Auburn and surrounding communities. Upon completion of the 6th grade, Taft’s students are automatically eligible to attend Hughes STEM High School.
Taft’s experienced, caring and highly qualified teachers use our cutting-edge STEM curriculum, state-of-the-art science and technology labs and individualized teaching techniques to nurture the critical thinking and collaborative problem-solving skills students need to become future leaders and innovators in the STEM fields.
Thanks to an array of community partners, Taft’s students enjoy numerous field experiences with business partners – such as General Electric, Duke Energy, Procter and Gamble, and the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden – that serve as learning laboratories to bring STEM concepts to life.
