Hughes STEM High School offers a wide variety of innovative curriculum and activities providing students with learning opportunities outside a traditional classroom experience. Students in grades 7 – 12 who reside in the Cincinnati Public School district are eligible to attend Hughes, which is considered one of Cincinnati Public Schools’ high schools of choice.
Students are immersed in rich, meaningful, STEM experiences through interdisciplinary coursework applied in the context of the real world through business and community partnerships. In these workplace experiences, students not only learn to apply knowledge, but also learn about a wide range of STEM careers, develop professional communication skills and enhance their ability to apply technology to real world situations.
With a wide array of partners, the high school is designed to incorporate innovative project based curriculum and provide students with seamless transitions into regional STEM careers through dual high school and college enrollment opportunities.
