Summit theme: Exploring the astonishing

First STEM innovation summit urges educators to explore the astonishing

The Ohio STEM Learning Network (OSLN) will host the inaugural Ohio STEM Innovation Summit on May 12, 2023. Through the event, OSLN will recognize and celebrate the STEM educators, leaders, and partners who exemplify STEM practices that inspire students and grow Ohio’s future.

This year’s theme is Exploring the Astonishing. This theme was inspired by the images and data produced by successful deployment of NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope. This trailblazing achievement of science and engineering reminds us of the possibilities of the future and the power of quality STEM education to shape what we can achieve together. Moreover, the James Webb Space Telescope was built through an international collaboration between NASA, the European Space Agency, and the Canadian Space Agency. Its success vividly demonstrates the importance of collaboration as we tackle big challenges.
