2025-26 OSLN Regional Hub Request for Qualifications

OSLN hubs are the nuclei of regional STEM activity supporting schools at every level of STEM implementation from building awareness all the way through serving as a model for school wide STEM implementation. Hubs facilitate partnerships with local entities representing K-12, higher education, community and business. Each hub leverages these relationships to connect and spread STEM efforts throughout its region.

Battelle education plans to announce a Request for Proposals for the following Regional Hub(s) in Spring 2025:

  1. Northeast Ohio Regional Hub. This hub encompasses the following Ohio counties: Erie, Huron, Lorain, Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, and Ashtabula.

This Request for Qualifications is intended to gather information about organizations interested in applying to manage the hub and assess capabilities and qualifications. The Request for Proposals will be by invite only.

All Requests for Qualifications should be submitted by 11:59PM on May 13, 2025.

We anticipate the following timeline:

  • April 18, 2025 | RFQ opens
  • May 13, 2025 | RFQ due by EOD.
  • Mid to late May | Open RFP – by invite only
  • Mid to late June | RFP due

Hubs receive a limited amount of annual funding from Battelle Education. It is important that their vision is in alignment with OSLN’s vision. OSLN’s vision is that every Ohio community has access to a quality STEM Education to drive Ohio’s economic future. Battelle Education works towards that vision by championing STEM education through establishing a network of professional learning programs and enduring partnerships between schools, communities, and industry. The questions below are intended to identify why your organization is a good fit to serve as an OSLN regional hub. They are also designed to help clarify your organization’s unique strengths.

They have a number of responsibilities that include working to ignite STEM interest, expanding the utilization of STEM education practices, and supporting model STEM schools.
