Empowering young women in science, technology, engineering, and
mathematics. Fostering confidence and inspiration.
Girls in grades 6, 7, and 8 will be exposed to careers in the STEM fields through hands-on activities when they visit BGSU for our annual Women in STEM program.
This year’s event features a keynote presentation from MIT Engineer Emily Calandrelli, who is also the producer and host of FOX’s Xploration Outer Space. Emily, also known as the “Spacegal”, is passionate about space exploration and inspiring more females to pursue STEM study and careers.
The girls will spend the day exploring and performing experiments in physics and astronomy, chemistry, biology, engineering, and other subjects as they learn about the STEM fields and what STEM has to offer in high school and beyond.
This event is currently at capacity for schools and presenters. For more information please contact Susan Stearns, stearns@bgsu.edu, 419-372-2745
