Provided by the Ohio STEM Learning Network (OSLN)-Akron Hub, these half day sessions focus on coaching administrators, STEM leaders and educators on the core components of leading an effective STEM school, highlighting the foundational elements of leadership and family, community, and school partnerships.
STEM 101 focuses on leadership, creation, and implementation of a vision for a STEM model. Through this interactive experience participants will learn how administrators, as contributing members of the instructional team, lead to increased student achievement.
STEM 102 focuses on a STEM School Leader’s role with family, community, and school partnerships. Attendees will increase their community knowledge and skills, and develops skills in how to identify, interact, and mobilize key community organizations and constituents.
These sessions lay the foundation for emerging STEM leaders, and are not limited to administrators. Working in a collaborative environment, participants will be able to directly translate these techniques and concepts into their classroom, school, or district.
