If you missed the earlier opportunities to learn how to bring Girls Who Code to your scholars, the NEOSTEM Ecosystem and Girls Who Code will be offering additional opportunities in the New Year to bring this free computer science experience to middle and high school scholars.
Girls Who Code Clubs are free after-school programs for 6-12th grade girls to use computer science to impact their community and join a sisterhood of supportive peers and role models across the US.
Clubs are led by Facilitators, who can be teachers, computer scientists, librarians, parents, or volunteers from any background or field. Many Facilitators have NO technical experience and learn to code alongside their Club members. Here’s an overview of the Clubs curriculum and a sample Clubs session for reference.
Please join NEOSTEM (Northeast Ohio) Ecosystem as we build a partnership with Girls Who Code to help launch FREE after-school Clubs in our communities! During these webinars, you’ll also have the chance to connect with a Girls Who Code staff member.
Even if you’re unable to attend any of the webinars, please register so that we can send you a recording.
