WHY COMPUTER SCIENCE?

  • Every 21st-century student should have the opportunity to learn computer science. The basics help nurture creativity and problem-solving and prepare students for any future career.

WHY TEACH COMPUTER SCIENCE IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL?

  • org has developed an elementary school curriculum that allows even the youngest students to explore the limitless world of computing. Courses blend online, self-guided, and self-paced tutorials with “unplugged” classroom activities that require no computer.

WHAT IS THE CS FUNDAMENTALS DEEP DIVE WORKSHOP?

  • A deep dive into course materials, teaching practices, and strategies for continuing to teach CS Fundamentals.

CANDIDATES FOR THIS WORKSHOP HAVE:

  • Experience teaching CS Fundamentals to K-5 students
