10/6/20 Update: Dates for this workshop have been changed to February
Join Code.org for a Deep Dive into Computer Science Fundamentals virtually! This one day workshop is split into two late afternoons. We will plan to meet synchronously via Zoom twice. You will have asynchronous work in between. The schedule will look like this:
This workshop offers support to teachers already teaching Computer Science with Code.org
Want to dive deeper into how to teach Computer Science to your K-5 students? Join us for the Deep Dive Fundamentals workshop.
This workshop is a hands-on learning experience with other like-minded teachers. You will get a chance to dig into teaching strategies that help students debug their coding. And you will learn new strategies that foster student collaboration in Computer Science.
Additionally, take time to build your Computer Science community. A community you can continue to connect with beyond the workshop. Work as a group to identify and address roadblocks to implementation.
Who can attend?
K-5 teachers teaching Code.org’s CS Fundamentals.
The Intro workshop is not a prerequisite for the Deep Dive. But, to attend the deep dive, you should have already started teaching CS Fundamentals.
How do I sign up?
You need to be logged into your Code.org account to register. Once you are logged in, you may enroll in this deep dive workshop here.
