New #STEMpowersOhio webinars with The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art & Technology

Considering joining this year’s #STEMpowersOhio Design & Entrepreneurship Challenge, but not sure how to get started? The Ohio STEM Learning Network and The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art & Technology will join forces to bring 6-12th teachers a robust series of sessions to help you get started. We want as many students as possible to participate this year, and we hope this workshop series will give educators the support needed to make this program a success.

These webinars will help teachers focus on the three main components of the challenge – design thinking, energy and creating community solutions. Each session is 1 hour long, via Zoom, and presented FREE of charge. Workshop content builds from one week to the next, so we are asking participants to commit to all three sessions. Register here to attend.

The Works is a hands-on discovery center in Newark, Ohio combining local history, art, science, and glassblowing. Presenters from The Works will share their expertise as the annual organizers of “STEMfest! This annual STEM event connects middle and high school students to the knowledge scientists and engineers use every day. Last year’s event included 86 teams representing 273 students. (Flyer)
